The hospital is one of the largest hospitals in China specialising in the field of cancer research and treatment. It has 790 hospital beds, 26 clinical departments and 13 medical technological departments.
A key part of the facility is the new 80-seat lecture hall, which is used for broadcasting live surgery within a surgery training environment, as well as research, conference and surgery discussion.
While looking for the best projection display, the hospital consulted with Wincomm Technology, dnp Partner in China, and they proposed a large dnp Supernova Core Screen. ”Although other companies also recommend different solutions, the customer chose us after a bidding and contrast demonstrations,” said Wincomn’s Betty Liang.
Wincomn recommended a super wide 6.3m x 1.5m display for the 10m x 2.8m wall. This is run in conjunction with three 6,000 ANSI lumens HD projectors with edge blending.
This enables a number of source inputs to be fed to the screen, including local laptop devices, video and X-ray image output from visualisers, which required sharp visual acuity. It also accommodates distance learning.
“As a result of the screen the image quality is superb, and the service from Wincomn Technology exceptional,” said Mr Chen, the project director of the hospital.
“The customer is as satisfied with the large size of the screen, without physical gap, as the quality of the picture,” says Ms Liang.
